Trifolium is the Latin name for clover, meaning three leaves. When I first registered a hallmark with the London Assay Office I chose a clover leaf for my maker's mark, so I named my jewellery business Trifolium. As it has been a lucky and memorable name, when I started a publishing company I called it Trifolium Books UK.

Here you will find information on Trifolium Books and Trifolium Jewellery as well as pages for our personal interests of painting, pottery, gardening, photography and traditional sword dance - this website covers the range.

My aesthetic values and concerns for quality remain consistent across all my work.

Mike Jensen researched and taught traditional English Sword Dance in North Cumbria for many years as Longsword Foreman of Carlisle Sword Morris and Clog. See the Sword Dance pages for the story of how he and the team introduced the Cumberland and Bampton Weavers' dances which are now performed by several teams in the UK and North America.
